The existing roof space before the ceiling was stripped out. View towards the end gable and stone chimney.

View of the existing thatch from within the first floor bedroom following the strip out of the first floor ceilings.
First floor partitions being stripped out. The existing partition contained a structural timber frame supporting the roof purlins. We plan to expose the larger sized old posts and cross members within the room/stairwell. View towards the end gable and fire breast.

First floor partitions being removed showing the old stair handrail still in place. View towards the party wall.
Excavations to remove the earth bank to the rear of the house to create a reduced level in readiness for the rear extension to the dwelling.
Garden levels redcued to create a sun patio at the back of the garden.

Ground floor partitions being removed exposing the existing spine beam within the dwelling. View towards the party wall.
